THE IDEA
A live voice. A virtual continent. A shared cause
For Only One Antarctica, the Lookport team connected Jess Glynne’s live performance with virtual Antarctic scenery. Created during the pandemic with the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition, the international music marathon supported the protection of Antarctica.
Studio filming, large LED displays, camera tracking and real-time environments gave the performance a shared digital stage when physical gatherings were restricted.
Performance inside a virtual world
Direction, creative production and XR delivery were planned together. The virtual landscape changed with the music, combining the immediacy of a live performance with the possibilities of an immersive studio. The wider marathon also featured Julian Perretta, Ilya Lagutenko and other international artists.
